Dunsin is an African music trio from Ghana who broke into mainstream music scene in 2008 with

their smash hit single “Oyeadieyie.

The trio, made up ofErnest Obeng (Omega), Ernest WiafeKoranteng (Swiitlyps) and Ahmed

KannehLarweh (Kelley) followed up with the release of their maiden album later that year.

Building on their success, Dunsin went on to grab nomination in 2009 at the Ghana Music Awards

under the category “hiplife song of the year” and also at the 4-SyteTV Music Video Awards for ‘Best

Choreography’ and the ‘Best Concept’ category in the 2010 edition of the awards.

The name ‘Dunsin’, means ‘Tree Stump’, in Akan. This according to the trio signifies their strong

bond and deep- rooted desire to stay in the music industry.

Though the group was formed in 2003, Dunsin started recording professionally in 2005 and

eventually got their first smash hit ‘Oyeadieyie’ and album in 2008 under the management of smart

multimedia records.

The album had hit songs like Sipuupu, kaaklo, Ghana nmaa just to mention a few.

Tipped as one of the most promising and authentic music groups in Africa, the trio are poised to live

up to expectations.

In 2015, Dunsin released a hit singles, ‘Falaa’ which was produced by Dr. Ray. Then in 2016, they

followed it up with ‘Fefeefe’ produced by Nad-xclusive, which is currently receiving massive airplay

on both radio and TV.

Dunsin is at the moment working on another album which is slated for release later this year under

the management of #SPLASSH MUSIC.

According to the group, the kind of music they bring out appeals to the Ghanaian music scene due to

the fact that most of their songs are traditional.

Though they went on a hiatus for a while, the trio have bounced back in grand style with the sole

aim of giving music lovers the best of what they are known for.

Dunsin will be dropping another banging song off their triple CD album this month, which is

expected to ‘blow’ the minds of music lovers and the country as a whole.
