Former member of the defunct Akyeame group, Quophi Okyeame has added his voice to the infamous Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale feud which temporarily grounded the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards to a halt last night- May 18.
Stonebwoy went the gangster way few minutes after he won the ‘The Dancehall Artiste of the Year’ when he pulled a gun and tried to aim it at Shatta Wale and his fans who had besieged the stage for God knows what.
Although the Bhim president has apologized, he’s still taking some flacks for his strange behaviour. Veteran rapper cum man of God, Quphi Okyeame thinks Stonebwoy acted immaturely.
Taking to Facebook to share his views on the incident, Quophi stated that Stonebwoy shouldn’t have used a weapon to cover his fear. He added that since Shatta Wale’s real intention was not known, Stonebwoy’s gun pulling act for someone known to be cool and collected was very unnecessary.
“This is Absurd.Security allowed a gun into the VGMA auditorium?Stone boy,I am highly disappointed in you.You can never cover your fear with a weapon.
Until Shatta’s intention was known, your gun pulling act for someone known to be cool and collected was very unnecessary.Bringing a gun was premeditated and it’s not cool.I dont know why Ghana police who were on site did not cuff you in the first place. You deserve an invitation to the police headquarters.
Now I know Shatta is Violent by mouth and Stoneboy is violent by Weapons. This is my wall, this is my opinion.I reserve all rights.
Anyone who insults me rather than expressing your their opinion I believe will only be displaying their ignorance.”
